About suits
The suit does not make the man
Herr Otto was a man of style. In addition to the fact that he carefully followed the game of his football players at the matches, he did so dressed in suits with interesting tailor-made patterns. This certainly contributed to him becoming a big star in Austria, bigger than his players from the Rapid club. But those suits, along with fame, sometimes brought him problems. That's how one of his suits got into all Yugoslav media.
When the Rapid club won the autumn championship, the president of the club asked him to have all the members of the club appear on television in the club suit. He was referring to the Styrian green suit. Otto agreed.
The next day, an article appeared in the Maribor newspaper calling him out for his lack of patriotism. They criticized him saying that he had forgotten Yugoslavia. They pretended that when he put on the club, Styrian suit, he was some other person. Because of this, and many other situations, Otto was criticized by the domestic media. He told them that the suit does not make the man.
