Natalija was born in Šid, maiden name Peljha. The Peljhas are of Rusyn origin, and her grandmother Zuzana was born in Ukraine. Natalija attended elementary school in Šid and often told me and my sister about her childhood. In school they didn't have notebooks like today. It was written on a small, black plate with white chalk. He writes his homework at home and on the way to school, the homework is deleted. The family was poor, so her childhood was also difficult. When he was only 15 years old, he started working in the Vukovar knitwear and spinning mill. She was short, so she had to stand on a kerchief to reach the handles of the knitting machine. Hardworking as she was, she was awarded a labor medal by the president of the SFRY J.B. Tito, of which she was very proud. For some time she was a member of the KUD \"Maksim Gorki\" where she took care of costumes and traveled a good part of Europe. In her retired days, she had a rich and fulfilling life. Grandmother of five grandchildren and great-grandmother, she was always surrounded by family members.
