The situation in the prayer book...

Being a grandmother in Herzegovina in the countryside can be quite difficult, and you managed to cope with all the adversities of life as best you could. Everyone who knew you knows that you found your strength in faith. The first thought of you is a black, leather and already quite worn prayer book, and this is followed by a mischievous childhood memory. Always when you got your pension at the beginning of the month, you would leave a few bills in your prayer book, thinking that no one would touch it. We four little grandchildren knew this and every time we wanted sweets, the first thing we would do was to go check the "state in the prayer book" and only then would we ask if there was anything small for sweets. Although angry at our mischievous nature, she knew that we were just children and never rejected us. Thank you for this happy memory as well as many others.❤️
