This is how Kemal Monteno, the great Bosnian singer-songwriter, began his story for Jutarnji list. He says that he was declared dead for the first time back in 1995 in Ljubljana.

- The late Davorin from Indeks and I are sitting, and he and I are talking to Raj from Sarajevo. And he, in order to get my son out of Sarajevo, calls an Italian. He says: 'Come on, send me this Kemi, I can't take care of him anymore. He will die here in my arms'. He is trying to let my son go, who was still under the army, the war was not over. And all this happens in a bar. One little boy, as soon as he heard that, immediately went out into the street, stopped everyone one by one and said to them: "You know that Kemo died". And Sarajevo is small, from ear to ear and it has already reached Radio Sarajevo: 'Yesterday he died in Ljubljana...' People came to express their condolences to the woman and children. –

The second time, they buried him suddenly in 2012. The whole variety show was buzzing about the death of the famous singer, and he complained that it was the Internet's fault.

- Now it is enough for someone to call the cell phone and put it on the Internet. They called me right away. First, Dr. Aganović called me, asked where I was and said: 'Didn't you die?' I said: 'I didn't'. He was called by Arsen who was called by some guy from Sarajevo and told him that I died. My phone didn't stop ringing from noon to morning. There is one fan of mine who knows everything about me and when he heard, he started crying and told everyone. Haris Džinović called me around 2:30 in the morning. He was at the Belgrade Story celebration, all the musicians were there, and suddenly the presenter came on stage: 'I have sad news. Kemal Monteno died today'. Both he and his wife started crying. They also observed a minute of silence. Luckily, my granddaughters and daughter immediately called Branka and she told them that she was driving next to me in the car. - the great singer recalled.

- I had to call on radio and television for live shows so that people could hear me! - concluded Kemo, a singer who twice did not believe that he was still alive, about this absurd situation.
