Memorial to the hero of the Homeland War. May he never be forgotten

KNIGHT Captain ZOLTAN HADRAVA🇭🇷🇭🇷🇭🇷🇭🇷🇭🇷🇭🇷 Born March 3, 1969 – December 6, 1994. He was born in Svilajevo, Apatin, Vojvodina. Croatian, single. He finished elementary school in Ilok, and high school in Bačka Palanka. He voluntarily joined the defense of the Homeland on March 14, 1991 as a member of the MUP of the Republic of Croatia. With the establishment of ZNG, on June 18, 1991, he became a member of the 1st Guards Brigade Tigrovi and in July of the same year he went to the Eastern Slavonic battlefield. In the defense of Ilok, he destroyed the first enemy tank in the Homeland War with an RPG. After that, he participated in actions in the area of ​​Nova Gradiška, Hrvatska Kostajnica, Novska, all the way to the Southern Front. In June 1993, he transferred to the 8th Light Assault Brigade of the VP, and with the reorganization of the HV, he transferred to the 1st HG Company. He died on December 6, 1994 while performing his official duties. He was buried with military honors at the Mirogoj cemetery in Zagreb. Because of his heroism, he was posthumously awarded the rank of captain. He was awarded the Order of Nikola Šubić Zrinski and the Monument of Homeland Gratitude.
