Box

The story of a faithful dog

For his 47th birthday, Emilio received an interesting surprise. His niece stormed into the apartment with Bobby, a neglected boxer. The housemates decided to adopt him, and Emilij went to the City Hall the same day and renamed Bobby Box and entered him into the Zagreb dog registry. According to the story, Box came to his new home when he was 7 years old, and before that he changed owners several times. The last owners, the family of Emilio's niece, used him to pull carts and did not take care of him, so when he once attacked chickens and rabbits due to hunger, it was decided to put him to death. The niece who decided to save him did not agree with that. Emilij and his family took good care of Boks, and the two stories Emilij wrote about him, "Biography of a Faithful Dog" and "Memoirs of Box" show that everyone loved him very much. Box regularly accompanied its owner to work and was also loved by colleagues. In the "Memoirs of Box", Emilij writes about Box's life and ends with the words "I followed my master to the office every day, walked with him, went out with friends, etc. We became inseparable." That Box had a special place in the Laszowski family is a fact, both are there the same type was owned by Emilio's son and later his grandson, as well as the fact that Box lived long and happily. He died in the arms of his devastated master, who buried him in the dog cemetery in Zagreb.
