Grandma was always my partner in crime. Even when it came to getting my first pet! When I was a little girl, I thought my grandmother was an ordinary grandma, like all others. It wasn't until I grew up that I realized she was a great fighter in life, and a big reason why I am where I am today.
For a long time, I tried to persuade my parents to get me a pet. They didn't agree. But it all changed during one summer, which I spent at my grandma's.One morning, Grandma and I went to the market together, as usual. Outside the shop, a man was standing with a bunch of boxes. He was selling rabbits. While my grandma casually strolled around the store, buying vegetables and stuff, I played with the bunnies.There was one bunny I particularly grew fond of. I didn't have to persuade Grandma for too long! She bought me the bunny which I named Loli. When the summer was over, and my parents arrived to take me home, they weren't exactly thrilled when they met Loli. At least my brother fell in love with him instantly. Although, at first, it seemed like I was going home without my dear Loli, Grandma had my back, as always. Grandma Marija, in the last minutes before going home, wisely and argumentatively convinced Mom and Dad that my brother and I very much needed a pet. Grandma was the spice of my life.
